Welcome to Drogheda-
Ireland's Largest Town
There are many reasons why Drogheda is a unique and special place to live, work and stay.
With a population of approximately 78,000 people, Drogheda is a magnificent heritage town, steeped in history and home to some of the finest historical sites Ireland has to offer.
Drogheda is also well-known for its thriving collection of indigenous and multinational corporations, vibrant nightlife, excellent dining experiences and is quickly developing as the next 'tech hub' in Ireland. Due to its prominent location on the M1 Corridor it's no surprise why Drogheda is quickly becoming the go-to location for talent in the North East.
Drogheda is positioned at the centre of the M1 Corridor, a thriving hub of economic activity connecting Ireland's largest cities, Dublin & Belfast. Over 40% of Drogheda's population is between the ages of 20 - 44.
Research shows the proportion of Drogheda residents with a bachelor degree or equivalent was higher than the national average translating into a young, skilled and talented workforce.
Drogheda has successfully earned the reputation of a startup haven with the launch of its own purpose-built enterprise centre, The Mill Enterprise Centre, in 2014. The idea for The Mill stemmed from Drogheda Chamber council members and since its opening, the centre has gone from strength to strength attracting organisations form a wide variety of sectors.
Drogheda also provides easy access to 5 major Universities and 5 Institutes of Technology and is in close proximity to some of Ireland's beautiful sandy beaches.
With top quality hotels, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, shopping & leisure facilities its no wonder why Drogheda is a great place to Work, Live and Stay!
