Ask Anglea Campaign

Drogheda and District Chamber is firmly behind the Ask for Angela campaign as the Christmas season approaches.

A relaunch of the initiative saw stakeholders from the business, education and hospitality sector, as well as An Garda Siochana and the Taxi Federation, voice their support for the campaign.

It is a simple process. If people feel vulnerable or are in a difficult and uneasy situation while on a night out in Drogheda, they can alert door staff, hospitality workers, taxi drivers or other appropriate services by approaching them and ‘asking for Angela’. The services are aware of the warning and will take appropriate action to assist the person.

“We want Drogheda to be a place where people can go out and enjoy the festive atmosphere. If they feel uncomfortable, then remember those key words ‘Ask for Angela’ and they’ll be assisted,” Chamber President, Naomi Tully, stated.
