If ever a community organisation earned an honour, it’s the Dunleer Energy Team, the latest
recipients of a Best of the Boyne Green Award.
The Oxigen Environmental/Orange Skip Hire/ Drogheda and District Chamber backed awards
series honours those who have shown outstanding commitment to promoting sustainability and the mid Louth group has certainly delivered in that department over the last decade.
With partners, they have retrofitted over 400 homes, as well as community buildings and local
businesses under the SEAI’s Community Energy Grant Program.
The team assists residents who wish to apply for SEAI grants, deliver educational programmes on
energy efficiency and have developed a centre for excellence for Climate Change at the Market House, Dunleer, opened last year.
“The Dunleer Energy Team is an inspiration to us all and they are always available to assist
people, from anywhere, on their journey when it comes to sustainability. With Oxigen Environmental and Orange Skip Hire, we are delighted to recognise their efforts on behalf of the community,” chamber CEO, Hubert Murphy, stated.
