NARROW West Street (but it’s really just West Street) has seen some amount of change down the years.

Many businesses have come and gone, but one face and one name has remained constant, Brendan Moore.
His little butcher’s shop has been part and parcel of the street for 46 years, but come Saturday, November 2, it will close its doors for the last time as Brendan (82) has decided to retire.
“I bought my communion suit from Mr Fahy in a gents outfitters that was this shop,” he stated. “I then ended up buying the place from him all those years later.”
“The street won’t be the same without Brendan,” Chamber CEO, Hubert Murphy, added. “He has given great service to generations of customers and we were more than delighted to present him with a token of appreciation for his commitment to the town.”
