Chambers Ireland today officially announced the shortlist for the Outstanding Achievement in CSR Award for the Corporate Social Responsibility Awards.
Once again, this year’s prestigious Outstanding Achievement in CSR Award received applicant companies who have demonstrated outstanding, sustained commitment in their CSR practices at all levels.
The companies shortlisted for the award are as follows:
- A&L Goodbody
- Boots Ireland
- Dublin Bus
- Tesco Ireland
The winner of this award will be announced at the CSR Awards ceremony on September 19th, in addition to the winners of the 14 individual Awards categories.
Announcing the four companies shortlisted, Ian Talbot, Chambers Ireland Chief Executive said,
“The companies revealed in today’s shortlist have embedded CSR as a core aspect of their business models and have shown the highest calibre of CSR engagement in their actions.
To be shortlisted for this prestigious accolade by our expert panel of judges is itself an achievement and a testimony to the consistency of these companies’ efforts in incorporating good CSR practices across their business activities.
The CSR Awards, now in their 16th year, is a unique competition which invites applications for projects of ingenuity and ambitious scope from the vast array of companies operating across Ireland today, from SMEs to MNCs. The Awards are the prime showcase of the depth of corporate Ireland’s CSR initiatives.
Given the growing importance of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),
for the first time this year the judging process for applicant companies was linked to their specific engagement with the Goals as part of their overall CSR initiatives.
We believe this to be an important new measure to gauge excellence in the future.
We look forward to the final round of judging for today’s shortlisted projects in mid-August and to the Awards ceremony itself, taking place on September 19th in Dublin. I would like to wish each of the shortlisted companies the very best of luck.”
The Chambers Ireland CSR Awards are partnered with Business in the Community Ireland, sponsored by BAM Ireland and run in association with the Department of Rural and Community Development.
The Awards take place in the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road on the evening of September 19th.
