The Drogheda Motor Show is back with a bang as "Brand New Drive 241" takes over Laurence Street on Saturday, 21st October from 10am to 5pm. Building upon the success of previous years, this year's event promises an unforgettable experience for car enthusiasts and families alike.
Nine local franchised motor dealerships have once again joined forces with the Laurence Street Businesses and Traders to bring this thrilling motoring spectacle to the community. With over 70 new cars and commercial vehicles on display representing 20 leading motor brands, the show offers a unique opportunity for visitors to explore the latest innovations in the automotive world.
The theme of this year's event is "Deals on Wheels for Every Pocket," so whether it’s a first drive or fortieth drive, there is something for everyone on Laurence Street this October.
In addition to showcasing the latest vehicles, organisers are committed to promoting road safety and responsible driving on the day too. To emphasise these critical messages, the event will feature a special return performance by the local dance and theatrical production company, Kast Productions.
Families are in for a treat as the event promises a day filled with colour, music, and entertainment. Highlights include live music by Drogheda Comhaltas, face-painting, balloon modelling, and thrilling magic with Martin the Magician to captivate visitors of all ages.
"Our nine partner dealerships have been hard at work, crafting unbeatable deals for this year’s motor show. It’s a golden opportunity for car buyers to drive away in the car of their dreams. We’re really pleased to support this initiative, the 13th annual show, and we’re encouraging the public to get down to Laurence Street and get immersed in a world of automotive excellence, and of course to seize the deals that await them!”, said Laura Durrigan the local First Citizen Finance representative who has been planning the occasion alongside her motor industry colleagues over the past number of months.
Alex Smith from Smiths of Drogheda, Ford, is excited to return to Laurence Street, “This will be our fourth occasion on Laurence Street and we’re so looking forward to it. We always receive a warm welcome from other local businesses too, who operate on the street. The show brings people together and the town certainly benefits economically as a result. All participating Dealers will bring their best deals to the street, so it makes sense to come on down and find that next Brand New Drive - locally”.
As the only award-winning motor show in Ireland, the event offers prospective buyers expert advice on car features, ideal family cars, travel options, energy consumption, and much more. With the 241-registration plate set to launch in January 2024, exclusive finance offers will be available.
The 2023 show is supported by First Citizen Finance, Drogheda & District Chamber, Society of the Irish Motor Industry, LHK Group, Louth County Council, Love Drogheda BID and the Laurence Street Businesses and Traders.
The 2023 Drogheda Motor Show participating Motor Dealers are: Brian Reynolds Car Sales (Mazda, Fiat & MG), Blackstone Motors (Renault, Dacia and Opel), Jack Doran Motors (Kia & Citroen), Western Motors (Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commerical Vehicles, Skoda, Cupra & Seat), Malones Toyota Drogheda (Toyota), Windsor Drogheda Peugeot (Peugeot), Smiths of Drogheda (Ford & Ford Commercial Vehicles), Colm Quinn BMW Drogheda (BMW), and Drogheda Car Sales (Hyundai & Suzuki).
