Members of various sectors of the business community in the region attended a recent a sold out ESG course, organised by M1Drogheda Chamber Skillnet.
The wide-ranging three-day course introduced people to the many facets of contributing to and understanding the issues and benefits of environmental, social and governance criteria to help meet CSRD obligations.
“It was very enlightening for everyone present and will form the basis for many to focus their business and industry in readiness for the challenges to come. We are on a countdown to delivering on sustainable programmes and these courses are invaluable resources.” Chamber CEO, Hubert Murphy, stated.
The coming years will see an increased focus for companies to deliver on key sustainable goals, from transport, waste and production to community engagement and general communication skills.
The Skillnet manager, Joe Lynch said, “M1 Drogheda Chamber Skillnet developed this heavily subsidised course with Enso Impact to meet the knowledge gap around ESG for local companies. The key element for most member companies is the demand from customers to be more sustainable throughout their operations and to be an influence for good in the community as well as meeting statutory obligations.”
The next course has started to book for March 2025 – additional courses will be demand led. Those interested in booking a place should contact 041 983 3544/ 083 0278518 or email, info@m1skillnet.ie or manager@m1skillnet.ie
