DROGHEDA & District Chamber is confident that members can benefit significantly from future funding streams via the East Border Region organisation.
The cross border group draws down and manages EU funding for six local authorities, including Louth and Meath.
Chamber CEO Hubert Murphy met with the newly elected chairperson of the body, Cllr Paddy Meade, and expressed a belief that the Drogheda area can up its game when it comes to funding opportunities.
“It was a very progressive discussion with Cllr Meade and he confirmed that the group is keen to listen to all stakeholders in Louth and Meath,” the CEO stated.
Cllr Meade said he feels there needs to be greater engagement with areas like Armagh, Down and Belfast.
He confirmed that new opportunities were coming up in September and everyone needed to be tuned in to them.
Local meetings are to take place and Drogheda and District Chamber will be highlighting those for members as they arise.
