Drogheda, Ireland, Europe, was very much the focus of a meeting between business representatives and Midlands–North-West MEP Nina Carberry at the Drogheda and District Chamber offices.

Accompanied by Cllr Ejiro O’Hare Stratton, the MEP met with Chamber CEO, Hubert Murphy and Drogheda BID CEO, Trevor Connolly.
“It was a very positive and engaging discussion and highlighted the many positives that exist in this region. We constantly state that potential is the key word when it comes to Drogheda and that hasn’t been realised to its full potential. This area has everything to be a pilot project on a European scale about how best to use key transport and population alignment to create a model of best practice when growing locations,” Chamber CEO, Hubert Murphy, stated.
“It’s hugely positive that our MEP understands what can be achieved here and we will be delighted to work with her and her European colleagues in the months ahead.
“The Chamber has developed links with Lisburn and Hampshire Chambers as we grow Drogheda’s footprint, opening collaborations and future markets for our members. At a time of uncertainty on the worldwide stage, we must show our resilience by embracing change and developing skills and contacts,” he added
