DROGHEDA and District Chamber was part of the delegation that met Romanian Ambassador, Dr Laurentiu-Mohai Stefan, and his team during a visit to Drogheda.
The Ambassador was in town to commence preparations for the Romanian elections in November and December. The new Louth CC building will be one of the nationwide locations to be used for Romanian nationals to vote.
The town was also a setting for the 2019 elections.
“The Ambassador was very impressed with the facilities and is keen to develop further links with the area. As a Chamber, we are always looking at building international contacts and we will be looking at a return visit by the ambassador in the future,” Chamber CEO, Hubert Murphy, stated.
The Ambassador and his aides visited St Peter’s Church and also the Highlanes Gallery.
