IT’S been a pulsating season for Drogheda United in the League of Ireland as they push for a European spot and leading the charge is their experienced midfielder and captain, Ryan Brennan.
The local man has played a huge role in the fortunes of the club in recent years and remains one of their talisman figures.
As a professional, dedicated to the team and club, he leads by example.
“As a captain and leader, there’s not many better than Ryan out there and that makes him a perfect choice for the latest Drogheda and District Chamber/Flogas Ireland ‘Sporting Hero’ award recipient,” Chamber CEO, Hubert Murphy, stated.
“These awards recognise spirit and determination in equal measure and Ryan ticks all the boxes when it comes to commitment. The club has helped inspire a great belief in the town and hopefully they can push on for Europe come November.”
David Allen, Head of SMB Markets at Flogas, was on hand to present the award to Ryan with members of the Chamber team.
