You're Gorgeous Hair (YGH)

As part of our Membership Spotlight feature we recently spoke to Jennifer Byrne from You're Gorgeous Hair about doing business in Drogheda & Stamullen. Read what Jennifer had to say.

Tell us about your business and what you do.

We are a multi-location hair salon based in Drogheda and Stamullen, built on delivering exceptional results in a welcoming, down to earth environment. We specialise in colour, hair extensions, and long lasting blow dries, with a strong focus on both client experience and technical excellence.

Alongside the creative side, we run a highly structured business, with clear systems and a strong team culture that ensures consistency across both salons.

Q. What do you think has been your biggest achievement with the business?

Reaching 20 years in business while continuing to grow and evolve is something I’m incredibly proud of. The industry is fast paced and constantly changing, so staying relevant is a challenge in itself. However, the achievement that stands out most is building a loyal team and client base who trust us and return time and time again!

Q. Tell us one thing people might not know about the business.

From the outside, the industry can look purely creative, but in reality, it’s a very numbers driven business. A lot of what we do behind the scenes revolves around performance, targets, and maintaining strong margins. That balance between creativity and commercial awareness is what allows the business to thrive long term.

Q. What is the best piece of business advice you’ve ever been given?

Learn your cashflow!!!

It’s simple, but it’s completely changed how I approach the business. Being busy doesn’t always mean being successful understanding your numbers and protecting your margins is what truly makes a business sustainable.
