The progression of the Port Access Northern Cross Route to a conclusion at Tom Roe's Point and the ongoing development of Drogheda as a premier location in Ireland were just some of the elements discussed during a Drogheda and District Chamber briefing with Neale Richmond, Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment with special responsibility for Employment Affairs and Retail Business and the Department of Social Protection.

"We had a broad ranging discussion and it wasrichly positive and I think shows the knowledge that's out there in respect of Drogheda and its environs. It's a booming town and with the support of the IDA, remains a key player in business and industry on the east coast," Chamber President Hubert Murphy stated.
"The department and in particular Minister Richmond'sspecial area of employment affairs and retail business, is vitally important in the eyes of the chamber in Drogheda and we hope to be engaging with him and Deputy Fergus O'Dowd on key matters in the coming months on behalf of our
members."
