Hubert Murphy Appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Drogheda & District Chamber

 

Drogheda, Ireland – 26th April 2024 - The Drogheda & District Chamber is pleased to announce the appointment of Hubert Murphy as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Murphy, who has served as President of the Chamber since November 2022, will transition from his current role as General Manager at Drogheda United FC in the League of Ireland to lead the Chamber into its next chapter of growth and development.

Reflecting on his tenure at Drogheda United FC, Murphy expressed his excitement about the future prospects, stating, "Working with Drogheda United has been an incredible experience. It has a wonderful tradition and history, and with Trivela coming in, the future is very bright."

As the newly appointed CEO of the Chamber, Murphy is keen to implement a number of new projects aimed at advancing young entrepreneur schemes, boosting diversity and inclusion across the business sector, delivering real change for the town, and enhancing the brand and objectives of the 130-year-old organisation.

"We are lucky to have a special crew at Drogheda Chamber, from the staff to council members, and all are focused on delivering for the area," Murphy added.
