Drogheda and District Chamber and .ie, the trusted national domain registry, partnered for the first time to host an information, advice, and guidance day on the digital world at Scotch Hall Shopping Centre.
An eye-opening event that ran for two hours, saw a host of stakeholders tell the story of their digital journey in a bid to inspire others to take on the task of getting online and making their presence felt to a wider market.
Miriam Simon, a retail strategist, and founder of the Retail Powerhouse, chaired a panel discussion on improving your online presence, making better use of digital and how best to serve your customers as a result. Oonagh McCutcheon from .ie, Niamh Dennehy (LEO), Louisa Maher (MorDigital.ie), Kevin McAllister (Kevin McAllister Electrical), Peter Doran (Image IT) and Joe Lynch, (M1 Drogheda Chamber Skillnet) all shared their advice and guidance on the subject. Solopreneurs, Start Ups, established SMEs, Digital Service Providers, and business representative bodies all attended.
"For those heading out on their digital journey, the prospect can be daunting, but that's where Drogheda and District Chamber can help. We have the expertise and contacts to help you and our association with .ie for this event shows what collaboration can deliver," chamber president Hubert Murphy stated.
"We want this to open a new chapter for digital and Drogheda and we have to thank all those that helped deliver the event, including Oonagh and our friends in .ie, Miriam Simon and our panel members, who gave such a great insight, M1 Drogheda Chamber Skillnet, and the teams at Scotch Hall, Omniplex, and all the exhibitors." Hubert Murphy, Chamber President.
