We recently had a chat with Ciaran Farrelly from North East Marquees and we were asking him about doing Business in Drogheda?
Where did your business idea come from?
I was job-sharing in Dublin Airport and wondered what I could do on my days off and thought I would start a small marquee company to fill my days off.
How has the business had a positive impact on Drogheda and District?
We built our own warehousing, creating employment in doing so, and now employ 12 staff.
What do you think has been your biggest achievement with the business?
We have been awarded best Marquee Wedding Company in Ireland for the past 3 years and boast clients such as the British and American Embassies, Dublin Port, Pay pal, Facebook and Intel. We actually have 2 Companies, North East Marquees and Marquee Weddings in Ireland.
What’s next for North East Marquees and the business in Drogheda?
We recently bought an adjoining site to our premises and we also expanded our business to include solid glass marquees and a host of other new lines to our business.
Tell us one thing people might not know about your Company.
We are one of the biggest marquee companies in Ireland and can arrange everything from the marquee to the food, flowers, toilets etc.
What is the best piece of business advice you’ve ever been given?
You can only do the work of one man with your hands but the work of ten with your head.
