FRI 4 JULY | 9.45pm, 10.30pm & 11.15pm | FREE
The Coffee Box | IL Forno | The Bare Food Café
On Friday, 4 July, our second late night café programme takes place. Three popular local cafés – The Coffee Box, IL Forno and The Bare Food Café – will stay open late into the night as part of Night Moves, a new innovative cultural programme led and produced by Droichead Arts Centre, curated by singer/songwriter, SJ McArdle, in collaboration with Drogheda’s Night-Time Economy Adviser and supported by the Drogheda Purple Flag group.

Each venue will host a free, curated evening of live music, poetry, spoken word, and good conversation – creating welcoming, relaxed spaces where people can enjoy the town in a different way. These cafés are championing a more diverse night-time offer and helping trial what a more balanced evening economy might look like. We are taking bookings on our website for our late-night cafes, but we also encourage audiences to drop in on the night!
Artists include acclaimed tenor Seán Tester with soprano Amie Dyer; local singer- songwriters Seán McCluskey and Clara Byrne, and dynamic poet Emmet O'Brien.
Produced by Droichead Arts Centre and delivered with various curators, promoters & alternative venues, supported and funded by the Night-Time Economy Advisor in Drogheda and the Arts Council. The programme encapsulates a vision of extending cultural offerings, fostering partnerships, & creating diverse opportunities for artists & audiences.
The Night Moves programme continues with Night Tones on 27 June.
