Branding
A new ‘sea louth’ scenic seafood trail brand has been created. The brand captures what’s best about County Louth’s 70km+ coastline; the stunning scenery and of course the finest seafood.
The ‘sea louth’ brand name has been carefully chosen to strengthen the rich association with the coast in the minds of our target audience. Our name is a callout to tourists, to come and discover this hidden gem on the east coast, to come & sea louth! Our chosen tagline “see eat admire” calls out tangible
reasons to follow our scenic seafood trail; to see where the boats land their catch and where local producers are producing their artisan foods, to eat our world famous seafood in the finest dining establishments across Louth, and to admire the spectacular sea views and fresh sea air along the way.
Imagery & Video Footage
New imagery and video footage of Louth’s coastal landscape and seafood producers has been commissioned for this initiative. These are unique to this project and will be used to promote the ‘sea louth’ scenic seafood trail.
Brochure
A new brochure is being designed which will tell the story of Louth through sharing the stories of its seafood and the people behind it. The brochure will showcase Louth’s seafood producers and will have a listing of participating restaurants throughout the county where this local seafood can be eaten. The brochure will also include a newly designed map of Co Louth pin pointing the locations of our seafood producers, participating restaurants and scenic viewpoints along the trail.
Passport
A new passport is being designed highlighting 14 scenic viewpoints located along Louth’s coastline stretching from Baltray to Omeath. Each scenic location will have a unique ‘passport stamp’ which visitors will be able to collect along the way. In order to complete a passport visitors will also have to collect 2 ‘eat’ stamps which will be available in the participating restaurants when they order the ‘Signature Seafood Dish’. Visitors can keep adding stamps to their passport every time they visit Louth. Once a passport has been filled, visitors can present it at one of Louth’s tourist offices to receive a ‘sea louth’ memento.
Launch
The new ‘sea louth’, scenic seafood trail will be launched early in 2020.
