As part of our Membership Spotlight feature we recently spoke to Amina Ndoye
from Spot On Cleaners about doing business in the area. Read what Amina had to say.
Q. Tell us about your business and what you do.
Spot On Cleaners is a professional cleaning service based in Drogheda, providing reliable, high-quality cleaning for both residential and commercial clients. After over a decade working in the banking industry and in Anti-Money Laundering, I was made redundant due to budget cuts, an unexpected turning point that became the catalyst for launching my own business. I’ve always had a strong passion for entrepreneurship, and I saw this as the perfect opportunity to build something of my own. I wanted to create a company that delivers spotless results with exceptional customer care, and that’s how Spot On Cleaners was born.
Q. What do you think has been your biggest achievement with the business?
Our biggest achievement so far has been building a strong foundation of trust with our early clients through reliability, attention to detail, and professional service. Although we’re still in the growth phase, the positive feedback and repeat business we've already received are incredibly encouraging. It’s rewarding to see word-of-mouth referrals starting to take shape, and we’re now focused on expanding our client base and showing more households and businesses the difference Spot On Cleaners can make.
Q. Tell us one thing people might not know about the business.
Many people don’t realise that we offer flexible and fully customisable cleaning plans to suit each client’s unique needs and schedule. Whether it’s a one-off deep clean, regular weekly service, or something in between, we work around our clients’ lives to deliver a convenient and seamless experience. We pride ourselves not just on cleaning, but on making life a little easier for our customers.
Q. What is the best piece of business advice you’ve ever been given?
“Start before you’re ready.” This advice helped me move past fear and perfectionism and take the leap into entrepreneurship. You learn and grow by doing, and that mindset has been key to building my business.
