You may be eligible for financial, advisory and promotional supports, designed to reduce start-up costs and help you get established.

      • These supports are designed to reduce initial cost barriers, support sustainable business planning, and assist new enterprises in filling vacant properties. The measures outlined below, which you may be eligible for, can be explored before committing to a premises and are delivered through a coordinated local partnership to support town centre activity and long‑term vibrancy.

To help reduce pressure in your early years, qualifying new town‑centre businesses can benefit from a staged commercial rates waiver: 0% rates in year one, 50% in year two, 25% in year three, and full rates from year four. This allows time to establish your business before full costs apply.

        Façade Enhancement Scheme:

Support from Drogheda BIDs to improve the external appearance of your building, including elements such as façades, signage or heritage features. This scheme aims to enhance the overall look and feel of the town centre while supporting individual businesses.

        Business mentoring & advice:

Access to one‑to‑one mentoring through the Local Enterprise Office and Drogheda & District Chamber. This includes general business advice, financial mentoring, and guidance from experienced professionals to help you make informed decisions.

        Marketing & promotion support:

Promotional support to help raise awareness of your business once open. This may include features and promotion through Drogheda BIDS, Drogheda & District Chambers and Local Enterprise Office social media channels as well as local media platforms.

      • For businesses already trading, additional supports may be available, subject to eligibility, to help improve efficiency, reduce costs, strengthen sustainability and build digital capability.

        Lean for Business:

Designed to help businesses become more efficient and more profitable. It supports owner‑managers to review day‑to‑day operations and identify practical opportunities to save time, reduce waste and improve margins.

        Green for Business:

Practical support to help businesses reduce energy use, waste and environmental impact. The programme focuses on achievable, step‑by‑step improvements that support sustainability while also delivering long‑term cost savings.

        Digital for Business:
